Charcoal Briquettes

Cavron’s Coconut Charcoal Briquettes are of an extremely high quality and are 100% natural. We do not use any artificial chemicals in our products. The granulated charcoal is mixed with our all-natural tapioca starch to bind the charcoal briquettes – a 100% food grade product made from the plant Manihot Esculenta.

Our BBQ briquettes are based on our high-quality carbon granulate from carbonised coconut shells and offer a superior green alternative to regular wood charcoal and fossilised coal. The use of our briquettes is primarily as a fuel source for barbecuing. In other words, with Cavron Coconut Charcoal Briquettes you will know what you are grilling with – we guarantee that our charcoal is clean without any unhealthy, badly tasting chemicals.

Coconut-Shell-Active-Carbon

Summer is well on its way and the smoky scent of barbecues is in the air, but did you know that grilling is not so great for the environment? Eco-friendly living isn’t really synonymous with the traditional American barbecue, but you can go green and still enjoy this summer.

Coconut charcoal is the new cleaner alternative, made from the inner hard shell of a coconut.  When carbonized coconut shell is burned as charcoal, it achieves high heat and maintains that temperature for up to two and a half hours. For premium coconut charcoals, they can even burn more than 4 hours.

The condensed fiber of coconut shells creates hotter and longer burning charcoal with minimal ashes. There is no sulfur (for those who are not familiar, sulfur dioxide emissions contribute to acid rain) or dust content, which makes these charcoals are really clean burning fuels.

Need more convincing? Coconut shells are a sustainable source. No trees are cut down or coals dug out to make this fuel.  It is 100% all natural coconut shell that is considered a biomass fuel. No fillers or petroleum products are added so it will not emit harmful chemicals or change the taste of food. Of course, to be consistent, it’s best to use a non-petroleum starter.
